Police Autonomous Vehicle Interface

Myself along with another team member were asked to map out the interactions that will

be required to assist people in working with autonomous vehicles in future cities. Thus, we

were asked to design and prototype a User Interface for an Autonomous Vehicle.

We decided that we wanted to design a way in which an autonomous vehicle could be utilisednot just for driving , but to drastically change the lives of the greater community.

We began by looking at pressing issues in today’s society such as drink-driving, domestic

violence and assault.

Instead of focusing on just a single issue we began to think about how these crimes are

currently addressed ; the police force. Thus we decided to focus on a way in which we could utilise autonomous vehicles to improve the efficiency of the NSW Police Force, leading us to the idea of an interface that would interact with an autonomous police vehicle.
